When a disgraced scientist discovers unusual spikes in the Earth’s electromagnetic field emanating from Stonehenge, it is up to him to warn the world of a possible apocalypse.
Last week I was putzing around Target shopping for clothes for my kids. I took a detour through the books and magazines because this is what I do every shopping trip. I don’t normally find anything–local stores never carry the magazines I want to read (Discover, Astronomy, that sort of thing) and I’m a digital reader (I love my Kindle) so I don’t get many paperbacks.
But THIS time, I struck gold. And because I’m always thinking about the apocalypse in some form or another (usually because I’m looking for possible topics to write about),
My three year old recently sang her way through the grocery store. (No, I’m not trying to get her on any talent competitions or anything. This was all her doing.) She sat in the cart, singing/yelling “Happy birthday Daddy” at the top of her lungs.
Obviously, we were going to have a little party of sorts to celebrate his birthday. With balloons and cake and everything. But later on, I started thinking about what birthdays would be like during the apocalypse (because I tend to end up thinking about what random things would be like during and after the apocalypse).
