LIFE is a dark movie about death. Violent and inevitable death.
Oh, the joys of living on The International Space Station (ISS) with people on earth trying to micromanage your every move but, at the same time, couldn’t help you find your toothbrush. These scientists are delighted to be living on the ISS answering the questions of elementary school children about where they shit.
ANOMALY 2 from 11 bit studios is going to be available for demo at PAX East this weekend and I’m stoked!
Why? Obviously, I’m for anything thing that leads with “build war mechs,” but this glee is mainly because I’m a huge geek for tower defense games. Ninja Town is for real my favorite game. I lent it to my mom and then strongly considered buying a new copy because I missed it.
But ANOMALY 2 isn’t a tower defense game. It’s a tower offense game! You build troops to push through the enemy’s defenses and ultimately breach their base.
As the story goes, aliens came to Earth in the first ANOMALY Warzone Earth game and they won. They beat everyone handily and now the planet is theirs and the responsibility to take it back is yours.
I plan to make a meal of this at PAX East and let you know how it preforms against expectations.
Check out the trailer and the official summary from 11 bit studios: Continue reading “Tower Offense? Yes, Please; I'll Take ANOMALY 2.”
As I said last week, I’ve got family visiting for the holidays, so I haven’t had much time to do much of anything that doesn’t involve Christmas (or touristy things, hehe). So I thought I’d have to put the apocalypse to rest until January (because the apocalypse needs a holiday too).
Then while putzing around Amazon, I found some Kindle deals, and bought a thriller called The Breach for $0.99. (Haven’t read it? You should. Go read it. I’ll wait. Why are you still reading this post? GO READ THE BOOK.)
And THEN I discovered that it was the first book in a trilogy. Because of course it is. So I skipped off to the Kindle Store and bought the second book, Ghost Country (at full price). Because of course I did. And guess what?
IT HAS TO DO WITH THE APOCALYPSE. Because of course it does.
