Post-Apocalyptic Book Club: The Infection By Craig DiLouie
July 21, 2011
It sounds too good to be true, but it’s real… Well, as real as thing can be on the internet. You might find you’re actually participating in an experiment by robots to help them understand how humans process and plan for survival situations. Maybe.
Hypothetical robotic motives aside, the Post-Apocalyptic Book Club lives on the messages boards over at the Post-Apocalyptic Forumscoordinated by out friends at Megaton.us.
The idea is that you can read a section of the book, and then come to discuss it, without needing to finish the whole thing, and without worrying about spoilers from someone who has read further in the book.
Each book will be broken out into 3-5 sections, depending on how long it is.
Forum registration is not required to access the Book Club category.
The world is rocked as one in five people collapse screaming before falling into a coma. Three days later, the Infected awake with a single purpose: spread the Infection. A small group—a cop, teacher, student, reverend—team up with a military crew to survive. But at a refugee camp what’s left of the government will ask them to accept a dangerous mission back into the very heart of Infection.
This book contains content that may not be suitable for young readers 17 and under.
